Estate No. 081046 is signed “Neumann 67” and dated “18.2.67” (graphite, recto). It was almost certainly produced at Neumann’s home studio in Munich and was bequeathed to the Rothschilds upon his death in 1975. After that, it was in the care of the family, Director Sean Ferneau, and dealer Courtney Collins. It is a companion piece to, and is from the same series as, Estate No. 081042. Indeed, they were produced a month apart to the day.
