This July, Courtney Collins Fine Art Gallery presents 'Pour L'Amour de L'Ouest' (For the Love of the West), an exhibition of paintings by Dennis Bredow. Opening reception July 17th, 2024, featuring twelve original works in Bredow's distinctive style.
Bredow's new collection draws inspiration from the titles of Louis L'Amour's novels and short stories, reflecting the rich heritage of the American West. His work combines the graphic style of vintage French poster art with his signature mid-century modern aesthetic. These mixed media pieces feature layers of book pages, vintage ephemera, and textured paint. Each piece is meticulously crafted and distressed to evoke a sense of history and nostalgia, perfectly complementing L'Amour's storytelling.
